Highlander is a family owned and run business to this day. Beginning in 1985 Highlander identified a gap in the market for bespoke outdoor gear that was as tough as the army surplus gear, but without the expensive price tag of some of the other brands around at the time.  So the owner decided to manufacture his own. In 2012 they secured a contract to supply the London Olympics with official merchandise and following this success we went on to supply the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games with official merchandise too.
